Clockhouse Pharmacy can help protect you and your family against flu with our private or NHS flu jab service We offer a FREE NHS flu if you are over 65 years of age, pregnant or affected by certain medical conditions. Our service is on a ‘walk-in’ basis and can be accessed seven days a week
About our service Welcome to Clockhouse Pharmacy’s travel clinic. We offer a complete vaccination and antimalarial service that is delivered from one of our private consulting rooms. Our service is available throughout the week, including Saturdays and Sundays. Our travel clinic is regulated by the General Pharmaceutical and is registered with the National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNac). We are a designated Yellow Fever centre for Romford and the surrounding areas. Do I need vaccination? Travel vaccination information can be found on the NHS fit for travel (http://www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk/destinations.aspx) public access website. This provides general information about the vaccinations that may be required. However, you should discuss your specific needs with ourselves as individual risk may depend on the duration of your visit, the nature of the planned activities, the time of the year and any medical conditions. Please attend 4-6weeks prior to travel to complete a course of vaccines.
If you only require a booster, then 14 days is usually sufficient. For Yellow Fever, vaccination is required at least 10 days prior to travel. Who will I see? You will be seen by our lead pharmacist, Omer, who has up-to-date knowledge of travel medicine, disease processes and malaria prevention. What do I need to bring? Please bring any information about previous vaccinations with you and the details of your itinerary. What to expect on arrival? Our pharmacist will assess your itinerary, vaccination history, past and present health and recommend a vaccination schedule and antimalarial tablets where needed.
